Dental Associations
The dental profession holds a special position of trust within society. As a consequence, society affords the profession certain privileges that are not available to members of the public-at-large. In return, the profession makes a commitment to society that its members will adhere to high ethical standards of conduct. These standards are embodied in the ADA Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct.
The mission of the FDA and its members is to improve the oral health of Florida residents, promote ethical practice standards, and direct the evolution of the practice environment through continuous education and advocacy for the profession and the public. Each year, the FDA’s Board of Trustees conducts a strategic planning session and develops an updated Strategic Plan for approval by the House of Delegates.
The West Coast Dental Association is a component of the Florida Dental Association. The FDA is a constituent of the American Dental Association. These three tiers of organized dentistry means the WCDA is part of a tripartite organization dedicated to serving the needs of dentists and their patients.
The Academy provides bona fide credentialing in implant dentistry through the Associate Fellow and Fellow membership examinations. The Associate Fellow and Fellow credentials are recognized by numerous state boards. Members who demonstrate the highest standards in implant dentistry find the AAID to be the organization that supports their clinical and research interests, as well as recognition for their achievements.
The Advanced Dental Implant Studies Program is an intense one-year commitment in which participants are coached on advanced clinical concepts, which are incorporated in their private practices.

Enhance diagnostic and treatment planning skills utilizing state-of-the-art technology.
Prepare participants to successfully complete the requirements for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s Fellow and Associate Fellow credentials, as well as the American Board of Implant Studies.
