Dr. Polly Michaels was born and raised in Duluth, Georgia. She earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from The University of Georgia and in 1998 she graduated from The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. She was an Officer in the Commissioned Corps under the command of the Surgeon General for the next eight years, practicing in Washington State, Oklahoma and Alaska, before entering private practice in the Denver, Colorado area.

In July 2002, she completed a hospital-based, two-year, Advanced General Practice Residency in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Working closely with dental specialists, Dr. Michaels refined and enhanced her abilities. She expanded the variety of procedures she could perform to include some of those commonly referred to specialists. She also worked with medically complex or compromised patients including transplant patients, patients with severe cardiovascular disease, dialysis patients, cancer patients and trauma patients. By working closely with the patients’ medical physicians, a team was formed to provide the best care possible.

Dr. Michaels is dedicated to continual learning and developing a dynamic dental practice where the highest quality care is provided to her patients in a clean, caring environment. She is a Board Certified Oral Implantologist who holds a Diplomate through the American Board of Oral Implantology, as well as Fellowships with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. In addition to her training and experience in the administration of oral conscious sedation, Dr. Michaels also holds advanced licensure in IV sedation. Dr. Michaels has held multiple leadership positions in the Hernando County Dental Society.

Dr. Michaels lives in Weeki Wachee and has been married to Robert for 19 years. She has twin boys, Brody and Camden. Dr. Michaels enjoys fishing; horseback riding; paddle boarding; skiing; hiking; camping; playing the clarinet; and spending time with her family.
